So far this year...

Well, it looks like the months flew by and I forgot about my blog once again! :) Things are going well in the Wilson household! Jon is about to begin his 3rd year of residency already, and I am still working on my MBA (only 2 classes at a time though).

Kaylee (5) is finishing up preschool and will attend kindergarten at St. Andrews in August. She is very excited, and is doing wonderfully in school! She has made some precious friendships and we are thrilled with her education at St. Andrews! The waiting list is nearly a year long for that school, and we are so blessed to have the opportunity to send our kids there! She is still working on learning French, and we practice around the house often. She has taken an interest in soccer, so we may sign her up for a little soccer team over the summer.

Andrew (3) will begin preschool at St. Andrews in August and can't wait!! He is all boy, and keeps me on my toes. He is also learning French well, and is having a blast telling people "je t'aime" (I love you!) as well as counting objects everywhere we go! He has definitely taken an interest in sports this year, and will be on a "sports for tots" league this summer. He has made some sweet friends at the two playgroups that we participate in, and loves being around people.

In January, we had the opportunity to head out to California for a quick whale-watching trip, which was the highlight of our year so far! The kids thoroughly enjoyed learning about whales and seeing them migrating and interacting with each other in the water. We saw about 6 of them, and it was amazing! Jon has an anesthesia conference in California that he has the opportunity to present a case for, so we are thrilled to be able to take another mini-vacation next month. The kids are so excited to be able to go to Disneyland, and mommy and daddy are excited to have a small break away from Tucson! :) We're beginning the process of researching the anesthesia job market and trying to determine where we'd like to move after residency...the prospects are so exciting! We will definitely try to head further east, but will have to take some small trips out there to determine which place best suits our family.

We're Baaaaack!

Wow, this year has flown by and I completely forgot about this blog! For those of you who are on Facebook, you can get daily updates there. So far this year, Jon started his second year of Anesthesiology residency, and is loving it...it has been a welcome change from doing surgery last year! Jenae continues to work on her MBA, leads playgroups for both her neighborhood and a doctor's spouse alliance, and is enjoying hosting events when she has time! Kaylee took her first ballet class this year and loved it. She has turned into quite the little mommy, much to Andrew's dismay, and enjoys bossing Andrew around and teaching him things that she feels he should know. Andrew has been a typical boy...growing like crazy and eating us out of house and home! He is in the 90% percentile in height and weight and is amazingly strong...which I hear is common for little guys at this age. He seems to enjoy rearranging his bedroom often! :) Jenae has been teaching the kids French this year, and they are picking it up very quickly. Kaylee can count to 20 in French, and Andrew can make it to 12. They know their basic body parts and many different foods and sayings. Kaylee starts preschool in 2 weeks at St. Andrews, and is very excited about that. Andrew's birthday is on Aug 11, and he requested a Pirate Party, so look for upcoming pictures of that event!! He will turn 3 this year, and Kaylee will turn 5 in October. Time flies!!

On Oct. 18th we celebrated Kaylee's special day with a princess tea party! It was so much fun. Happy Birthday Princess! We love you!

Andrew's Big Boy Bed!!

Tonight was Andrew's first night in his "big boy bed" and he is so excited! He was a bit unsure at first, but after a few minutes, he decided it was pretty cool and now he's all snuggly under his new covers. I think the crib will stay in his room for a little while longer....I'm just not ready to say goodbye to it yet! :( They grow up too fast!!

Happy Birthday Andrew!!

Our little guy turned TWO on August 11, and our theme this year was "Blues Clues"...his favorite!! The highlight of his special day was being able to sit in his "thinking chair" with his "handy dandy notebook" and open fun gifts! He's such a joy and we are so thankful that he's our little boy. We love you Andrew!

Louisiana Trip

Here are a few pics from our trip out to Louisiana. We had a great time, and Kaye and Kenny were generous enough to take us on their boat! We had a blast! All of the great grandkids lined up for a group photo. Whew there are a lot of them!
